Dr. Karen Rege has been making music for over 40 years and teaching for over 30 years, both face-to-face and online. Although she is primarily a composer and performer who records and performs her own compositions, her background in higher education and library science have garnered her an extensive knowledge of copyright and licensing. Widely connected in the fields of jazz and world music, with a graduate degree in musicology, she is fluent in almost any style of music. From her doctorate degree in education, Dr. Rege is fluent in various pedagogies. Her passion is teaching music, and she is comfortable in either a group setting or teaching one-on-one.
